 Sculptural Effects designer / Showgirls
This is a sculpted set peice
below, this part though it looks utterly organic, it had to fulfill
two very demanding build specifcations. The first was to capture
"the dynamic feel flowing molten lava" and second was
that this section of the set also had to fit a pre-existing dance
stage to within a half inch of the existing rented stage, the
ffilm production company had rented. Eventually this foam sculpture
was used to create a mold and then cast in clear fiberglass and
painted in Volcanic colors, under lit and came alive in the feature
film (Photograph right) see foreground.
