Feature Film - Caves
This was the largest sculpted
foam set ever done, untill this set, vast wooden structures were
built, and then sculpted, with either plaster or thin foam coverings.
Here the set used the minim of set carpenters and instead used
4 by 8 foot, by 4 foot high blocks of white styrofoam, glued
togther with a polyurathane foan and built into a height of 76
feet, and 280 feet long, as a giant bowl shaped cave set. It
produced vast savings in materials, time and labor costs.
